  • Responsibilities

    • Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems.
    • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, common areas and equipment, and complete the required documentation and reports.
    • Help maintain the cleanliness, safety, regulatory compliance and overall appearance of the properties, including interior and exterior areas.
    • Perform minor repairs and first-line maintenance interventions, and respond efficiently to tenant service requests, including emergencies.
    • Coordinate and oversee contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and service-level standards.
    • Identify, report and follow up on deficiencies, equipment failures and recurring issues with management.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation, reports and equipment inventories in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
    • Keep workshops and mechanical rooms clean, organized and safe.
    • Support the property management team with operational planning and the preparation of operating budgets.
    • Be available to respond to emergency situations during and outside regular business hours, based on operational requirements.
    • Perform other related duties as required.
  • What we are looking for

    • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment.
    • Good understanding of building mechanical systems and applicable safety standards.
    • Valid driver’s licence required.
    • Knowledge of applicable building codes, fire prevention requirements, fire safety legislation and WHMIS.
    • Good computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of Yardi is considered an asset.
